Cloud Forwarder
by Kustlyne · v1.2.2 · cloud-forwarder
Sends the live values under a UNS path you choose to an HTTPS endpoint you name, with their timestamp, quality and unit. Values captured while the endpoint cannot be reached are kept and sent when it returns.
What it can reach
Declared in the manifest that was signed, and enforced by the platform rather than promised by the publisher. An app cannot quietly read a path it did not ask for.
| Reads | everything under the path you give as “Send the values under this path” when you install it |
|---|---|
| Writes | nothing — it only reads |
| Platform APIs | uns:read storage:write |
| Your devices | nothing — it does not talk to your equipment directly |
| Internet | the host of whatever you give as “Destination URL (https://)” when you install it — sends the values to the URL you enter |
This app is scoped when you install it rather than when it was signed, so one signed copy works on any line. The machine holds it to whatever you enter and to nothing wider — a blank answer grants it nothing, not everything.
What it needs
| Runs as | Background service |
|---|---|
| Resources | cpu 0.1 · 96 MB |
| Packaging | a self-contained image, carried with the app |
| Instances | one per machine |
| Keeps on the machine | a private folder on the machine and a small store of its own settings and state. Removing the app takes it with it |
| Platform | 1.6.3 or newer |
| Built with SDK | 1.4.0 |
What it asks you when you install it
Out of the signed manifest, so this is the dialog the machine will actually show — not a description of it.
| Destination URL (https://) | text · required |
|---|---|
| Send the values under this path | a path in your namespace · required |
| Check for changed values every (seconds) | a number · defaults to 15 |
| Values kept while the endpoint is unreachable | a number · defaults to 50000 |
| Destination API key (sent as a Bearer token) | a key or password, kept encrypted on the machine · optional |
