Training

So your own people can run it

An OT engineer gets from cabling to a live value without a Linux course. Training covers what comes after: naming a plant so it scales, choosing what to keep, and knowing what to do when something goes wrong.

What we teach

Three courses

Each builds on the one before. Most sites only need the first.

Online, half a day

Getting started

For the person who will connect the first line. Cabling and the two networks, the install wizard, adding a driver, and reading a first live value out of the name space. Nobody needs Linux, and nobody touches a command line.

One or two people from one site

Online, two half days

Going further

The name space as a design decision rather than a setting: how to name a plant so the second line costs nothing to add. Storage tiers and what a fortnight of data really costs. Users, roles, backups, and what happens on the day something fails.

Engineers who will own the platform

On site, two days

On your own machines

The same ground, on your lines, with your protocols and your naming. We connect real equipment together and leave you with a plant that is already modelled — and with the awkward questions your equipment raises answered rather than deferred.

A team, and their own hardware

The hour that pays for the day

Naming a plant so the second line is free

Every value on the platform has one name, and the shape of that name is a decision somebody makes once. Made well, adding line four is typing a word. Made badly, it is a migration.

What an app reads, a dashboard charts and a report queries. The five levels are the interface every app on the machine sees — getting them right is most of “Going further”.

Who comes

Who it is for

The same three people the platform is built for, and they want different things from a day.

The OT engineer

Knows the machines, does not want to become a software team. Leaves able to add a line without asking anybody.

The system integrator

Will do this for twenty customers. Leaves with a way of naming a plant that the twenty-first will not have to unpick.

The machine builder

Ships equipment into somebody else’s factory. Leaves knowing what their machine should publish, and how to put an app in front of it.

Practical

Price, dates and language

Arranged with you, per plant.

The price
Agreed with you before you book. Our list prices have not been ratified yet, so they are not published here.
Dates
Arranged with you directly — there is no calendar yet.
A certificate
Not yet. If your organisation needs one, tell us.
Languages
English and Dutch. The platform itself ships in English, and is built to be translated.

Tell us what your plant looks like

How many lines, which controllers, and what you want out of it. We will tell you which course fits — or that you do not need one.
